They say when your starting up every little thing matters. Your first sale, very first FB like (unsolicited :P), first 100, 200, 300, 400 likes! First Cebu, Davao, Visayas, Mindanao, US, Canada, Thailand, Singapore, Brunei, and Sweden too! Those milestones are my badges. My trophies. Never to be forgotten. But despite the many firsts, I desire to have more firsts (sorry, im only human). I told myself- in time those "goals will be given to me" at the right time - I just have to do my best and to slowly build this business-brick by brick, from ground up. Like in any business, there were disappointments, of course, and some losses too! But that's normal. What we can do is: we learn and then we move on. And MOVE ON - WE SHALL! At first when you thought its just a simple inquiry or a deal that headed south... Only to be surprised how things will turn out to be so much better! An inquiry turned into a "featured article" and a deal that headed south (with Cordlife) turned into a "media mileage deal" for Snug-A-Hug! Aint that great?! After stalking the web pages of mommy mundo group and bellyblessed... I secretly wished I could be featured here... In my mind this will be "one of my ultimate goals". Never in mind have i thought it would happen to me this soon! Behold the featured article of Snug-a-hug at Bellyblessed.com. A surreal moment. Snug-A-hug's very first featured article read here Things cant get any sweeter than this...A deal with Cordlife that failed BUT turned into something so much better! Months in waiting, but closed the deal in 4days. I really can't put into words how these things happen to me. Connections, opportunity all of which presents itself. Im just thankful of all the happy incidents and how all the puzzle pieces fit in just right. Good things really do happen to those who wait :) Thank you God. Philippine Star Advertisement: Snug-a-hug as an event partner. Published dates May 25 and May 29, 2013. ![]() It dawned unto me that it was the weekend of Mother's Day... So I told my husband "Da I want to give away a Snug-A-Hug pillow" for mothers day. In a matter of hours my loving personal stand-by art director made the poster for me... A little tweek here and there and we released it Monday (May 6th) the promo was simple. 1. anybody can join, 2. the recipient must have a Philippine address, 3. must like and share. Super easy right? The promo was quick. I dare not ask one to profess their love for their mom because i know there is no way, anyone could win this battle. We just want it plain and simple. As a noob. Im not aware how things go when it comes to these things. All i know is you see the likes and share under the post. And lo and behold...I saw my numbers go up. Amazing! collectively we reached 18k! Im so thrilled! Though longer span of promo equals better exposure for me. I thought it would be better to give the prize to the lucky winner the day before Mother's day. The entries were collected at exactly May 9th midnight. We held an random generator number to make the draw, after which we match it up to the entries collected. First thing Friday (May 10th) the winner was announced. I was so wasted that evening/morning - when a call woke me up telling me she's the winner :) Excitedly she was giving instructions to me where to ship her "prize". Dazed and confused I still managed to take the call as a normal person would (not a zombie) lol. Meet the winner! Lorfina Bujuan Im just glad Mommy Lorfina won the promo. Here's a back story: Her son-in-law was "about to" purchase Snug-a-hug from me! The son-in law then emailed me relaying me the great news that his mother in-law would give the pillow to them instead for his wife. Awwww That is what you call: Love in full circle. The lola gave the pillow to her daughter who would then use the pillow for her apo. Sweet! Congratulations once again. And thank you for sharing you photos with me. You really deserve to win :) Happy Mother's Day. Baby Eli on Snug-A-Hug. Mothers are truly selfless, their means and ways are something we need in our lives to feel whole. They are our angels on earth. :) This photo is from one of my hubby's pitch project (pasta product) he is an Art Director for a multinational
Advertising Agency. We made this for that pitch. Stylized the pasta and did the shoot as well. I just find "koo koo's nest" blog title fit the photo here. Three eggs symbolizes me, my hubby and my daughter all in one nest. All in one great big adventure! |
